Summary
When San left his naval academy and joined Hongjoong’s crew, he knew he’d finally escape the structured, suffocating life that never fit. As he begins to walk and his voice starts to better mimic human sounds, Yeosang realizes that he’s not just learning to live among humans to adjust... he’s learning to live among humans because he wants to.
For San, the line between research and care blurs with every soft hum Yeosang makes, every cautious glance that feels less fearful and more curious. But with each passing night, the sea’s call grows louder, and San can’t ignore the eerie cries in the water of the sound of a siren’s song growing closer, as if the ocean itself refuses to let Yeosang go.

“They said I lied,” Hongjoong said, remembering the looks on the guards faces, the way one of them had punched him in the gut and threatened to make him regret lying.
“Did you?” omega asked. There was no curiosity in the voice, like he was asking the question just to entertain Hongjoong or be polite, not because he actually cared for the answer.
He grinned. “Well, yeah. Had I told them that I’m a pirate and I actually had robbed the facility moments ago, I’d be heading straight to the gallows.” Getting hanged really wasn’t in his plans that day. “Are you going to tell me what landed you here?”
“They say,” the voice replied, mimicking his tone, “I stabbed someone.”
“Did you?”
“If I did,” the omega said, “he was a nasty alpha and deserved it.”OR: Hongjoong meets Seonghwa in a prison cell. Summary
Park Seonghwa had been a prisoner at sea for the past two years ever since he was snatched off the streets. When a battle with a rival pirate crew leads to his capture, he is merely moved from one prison to another. He doesn't realize it at first, but this new prison is different. Against everything he knows, he slowly finds himself warming up to the crew members he had sworn to hate.
Park Seonghwa promised himself he would never feel again. Emotions only got people killed.
Captain Kim Hongjoong had never felt an ounce of remorse for anyone outside of his crew. If they weren't with him, they were against him. But when they bring a prisoner on board for information, Hongjoong watches as his crew members warm up to him despite their orders not to engage. As their attachment grows, Hongjoong's hate for the prisoner swells.
Kim Hongjoong promised himself he would protect his crew. Emotions only got people killed.

Summary
The picture they make takes Hongjoong’s breath away. Yeosang with his fluffy blonde hair, backlit like his very own halo—his comfortable cardigan that looks out of place in the dim bar. Seonghwa with his carefully styled long, sleek, white hair and sinfully tight outfit.
Hongjoong lets a smile grow on his own face, all teeth.

Yeosang has always belonged to Hongjoong and Seonghwa. He just doesn't quite know it yet.

Summary
They arrives as refugees, the aliens. Dying and lonely, fragile on their own. Seonghwa was two, the day their Eomma entered Earth orbit to come find them, and he’s wanted to go up to visit since before he understood what space was.
Hongjoong might just give him that chance, assuming Seonghwa can keep him alive, of course.

Hongjoong squirms part way out of the pouch, shoving between his shirt buttons so he can stare up at Seonghwa like he's a strange machine to be studied. Seonghwa covers a laugh with the back of his hand, and Hongjoong swoops back inside with an affronted air.
