Summary
The problem with Tonraq’s letters was that she couldn’t just reach out and hug Korra. She knew that Korra had barely been holding it together in the few weeks they had returned to Republic City, but it just felt like her being away hasn’t helped that at all. She knew her best friend, and how stubborn she was even when she was hurting.

What if Asami didn’t wait for Korra to write back, what if she took a chance to see Korra? Things wouldn’t be perfect, not at all.

Summary
This is a post episode 8 look at Cait and Vi and how they navigate their relationships while also healing from all the trauma in their lives. It also acts as a study into the Kiramman Family dynamics, how Cait moves past her time with Ambessa, and how Vi handled life during her Pit Fighter phase.
Flashbacks with Maddie, Ambessa and others serve as missing scenes to give a look into the thought process and reasoning behind much of what we saw in the show.
This is part 1 of a show continuation i was asked to write. It's pre-written and I will be post approx. 3 chapters per day most days :)FYI the full title used to be Lovers, Hunters: The Clouds are Hanging Low.

Summary
Asami Sato can say no. She can refuse to believe that the world is on the edge of something beyond terror and comprehension. She can reject the possibility that grieving for the death of her father is necessary, as he was already dead to her once before. She can close your eyes, cover her ears and convince herself that everything is fine. That she's fine. Through grinding teeth and a belly full of rage, she's fine.
All of these problems, these impossible problems with no solution that involve science humanity was never meant to understand, are manageable. Spirit weapons are a terrifying threat, yes, and the fuel for them literally grows on trees, but she can fix it.
She's Asami Sato, the Engineer. She can fix anything.

Summary
Korra and Asami head South to help heal from the poisoning they suffered from Zaheer. Except, Korra has insisted Asami split her time between Republic City and the South. Asami, recognizing her role as the Avatar's Mirror, takes up her mantle to try to unravel political unrest in Republic City and the Earth Kingdom. A Civil War looms between Ba Sing Se and Omashu, and Asami has no idea who to trust anymore. While assisting Asami's burgeoning mutual aid network, members of the Air Nation discover alarming news relating to the potential Civil War. Asami goes undercover with the Krew, while she struggles to balance her work with her own healing and her relationship with Korra.
Meanwhile, Korra falls deeper into depression and wonders if the world truly needs an Avatar after all.

Asami ended up just nodding her head in understanding, still unable to piece together words.
She backed even further away from the car as the tinted window rolled up. The woman stepped out of the car and Asami began to hate the situation even more. This woman didn’t just have a gorgeous face, but she also had the body to go along with it. Asami tried her hardest not to stare too much, but in the time that the woman stepped out of the car, she was able to tell that this woman was very much her type.
