    Honestly, they should've seen this coming. They've already ended up in another world once when they died the first time, who's to say it wouldn't happen again?

    Sasuke and Kakashi get drinks together every Friday. They've grown close after the war, and, at 26, Sasuke's having second thoughts about his relationship with Sakura. He's leaving on ANBU missions increasingly frequently to avoid seeing her, and Kakashi's company is much more pleasant to him. But they're buddies. That's all.

    Things are changing, and Sasuke doesn't know if he's ready to face those changes. As for Kakashi - who knows what he's thinking.

For the chance to breathe in the familiar odor and appraise the masked face, deeply articulate and filled with subtle emotion despite the minimal amount of exposed skin. He wanted to hear Kakashi’s laugh and the low timber of his voice as he pronounced Sasuke’s name and pressed the syllables between his lips intimately.
