Buckle up, grab some tissues, and enjoy the ride! It's the 1930's! Mysticism is afoot and higher powers are at work. The Stage is set, and now...without further ado...

But then Scott stopped talking, and Pyro quickly followed suit. The nobleman’s nose scrunched up, his now pointier ears (seriously, how had nobody noticed that? He wasn’t crazy! They just refused to look!) twitched. All that Avid could hear was his own heartbeat. He wasn’t breathing, he wasn’t moving. He refused to let out a single sound. He wasn’t ready, not to go against two of them. Maybe if he’d just come across one of them by themselves, he could have… surely if it was Pyro. Scott he was far more afraid of.
“It sounds like we have company”. Following Scott’s words, everything moved in slow motion. The vampire’s head turned, their eyes locked together, and then Avid was running.
He didn’t know where he was going. There was nowhere for him to run. He was far away from town, outside of any proper path, and, most importantly, nobody believed him. Nobody had tried going after him. He had no allies left. Nobody would have known if he had died.
Avid was going to die.

Summary
Merlin had gone to the tavern again! When Lancelot returns with the lazy manservant, he goes directly to Gaius. Arthur is pushed out and not allowed to know what is happening in his own castle while Gaius, Lancelot, and Merlin are locked inside Gaius's chambers to prevent Merlin from infecting anyone else. Just what is Arthur to do when he isn't allowed to even see Merlin and all he is told is that Merlin is getting worse?
Takes place between season 3 and 4. Agravaine and Uther are both there, but mostly as background.

Nonetheless, here he is. Walking into his new archives. A place Elias is… strangely fond of. The pressure on Jon’s shoulder mounts. Elias expects him to right this place. And… that’s one hell of a task. The place is already a mess and he hasn’t even gone into the storage closet, full of filing cabinets with statements crammed into every small space between the walls, cabinets draws and so forth, with no rhyme or reason for *why* they’re here to begin with.
