Summary
“Morning, Miss Lane. Got you some nice hot breakfast,” he said, as though bringing street food before 9 a.m. was a completely reasonable thing to do. He set everything down and continued to munch away on the rest of his breakfast hot dog, completely unbothered.
That’s when it hit her.
Oh god. She was starting to think like Clark. Maybe Cat was right. Maybe couples really did start to blend together after a while. It was terrifying… but also kind of sweet.
Clark handed her a hot dog (mustard only, just the way she liked) and offered her some lemonade.
She looked up at him, shaking her head in disbelief as she received her meal. “I think your eating habits are rubbing off on me. I'm starting to believe that hot dogs are an acceptable breakfast food.”
----
Or
After Lois and Clark finish an accidental eating challenge together at a sushi restaurant, things only escalate from there as they realize that their strange food dynamic makes them the perfect team to start tackling The Daily Planet's first-ever food review column.

Summary
It all started with a sneeze. Not just any sneeze—a powerful, window-rattling, plant-toppling sneeze. A sneeze that could have registered on the Richter scale if anyone had been paying attention. And it came, impossibly, from Clark Kent.
Lois stood frozen in her apartment doorway, having narrowly dodged the artificial hallway fern that now lay face-down on the floor, its cracked plastic pot spilling pebbles across the carpet. Her jaw dropped. First at the plant, then Clark, who was standing there sheepishly, with tissues in hand.
Something was very wrong.
----
Or
Because of some Lex Luthor-related evil shenanigans, Clark manages to catch an infection and is stuck suffering through cold and flu symptoms for the next week. Lois doesn't know what to do and ends up taking him back home to Smallville for some help.
She ends up getting more than she bargains for when this next adventure gives her an opportunity to experience the simple joys of peaceful farm life.

Summary
She lets her hand fall to his arm. He pauses mid-bite, glancing at her. Generous of him. She smiles, then slowly trails her hand across his chest as she leans closer, as if about to whisper something. But before anything can happen, Clark moves to mirror her.
And that’s when it happens.
His elbow bumps a tiny cup of marinara sauce they were using for the breadsticks, and it topples. First onto his shirt, then onto the new area rug.
Clark gasps. “Oh goshdarnit!” he blurts, picking it up before scrambling upright. “I’m such a bozo, I can’t believe I did that.”
Lois stares in horror—not at the rug, but at his shirt. The one shirt in his entire wardrobe that fits him like a dream. And now it’s streaked with red.

Or
Clark and Lois decide to get pizza at her apartment one night... and a slipup leaves Clark without a shirt, which, naturally, leads to their first sort-of sleepover.

Summary
One morning, after hopping off the subway and running into Jimmy, she spots Clark across the street, coming out of a donut shop. He’s stumbling through the crowd like he’s afraid he’ll accidentally crush someone. His messenger bag hangs loosely off his shoulder, threatening to fall off at any given second. He's got three big boxes of donuts stacked in his arms, and, of course, a giant donut dangling from his mouth.
“Look at this guy,” she says, elbowing Jimmy. “What does he think he’s doing?”
Across the street, Clark finally catches sight of them. He plucks the donut from his mouth and waves with it in his hand, flashing a big, dumb, goofy grin. Dimples and everything.
----
Clark is seen with three dozen donuts... but shows up to work with two. Did he give them away or eat them all? And why does Lois seem to care about that ray of sunshine's donut habits? Sometimes she feels like she's one more social faux pas away from making the poor guy break into tears.

Summary
“Found in a cornfield… So he’s adopted?”
“Yep,” Hector says, accompanied by an affirming nod.
“And we’re sure he’s human?”
“Looks pretty human to me,” Hector dismisses him with a wave of his hand. “And if he ain’t, it’s none of our business. He’s good for the Kent farm and for the town, so don’t go botherin’ him now.”
“Huh,” Theo mumbles, watching the Kent boy lift a half-filled water trough. The kid looks up as Theo keeps staring, and gives him a gap-toothed smile and an enthusiastic wave, now holding the trough with a single hand. Theo waves back hesitantly, stopping when he feels Hector’s firm hand slap down on his shoulder. He looks to his side to see Hector waving at Clark as well. Hector leans in real close, whispering:
“I mean it, son. You bother that Kent boy one bit, and the town’ll have your head. Just leave him be.”

The years before Clark learned just how different he really is, as told through the eyes of the Smallville folk.
