“An ice cream truck parked at the curb serves a little boy with dark hair a cone of strawberry ice cream. He slides a few dollars over the counter on his tiptoes and scampers off, not a parent in sight.
He looks like David, Vanessa thinks, but she’s never heard that name before.
Vanessa looks at Gregory and orders herself an ice cream cone. She gets him a popsicle that looks like Fredbear.
He loves that bear.One of the gum-ball eyes is lower than the other and the smile looks more like a grimace. Wordlessly, she hands it to Gregory. He doesn’t look it, just inspects it suspiciously like a puzzle he can’t solve.
Vanessa pays and starts walking to
