The Force does not make bets. The Force is vast, timeless, impersonal; it does not wager with cosmic entities about the inherent goodness of sentient beings. Even if the Jedi say it sometimes puts its hand on the scales.
But no matter the Force's intentions, sometimes remarkable beings end up in the right places at the right times: Two angry Sith with every reason to hate each other. Two young Jedi with vastly differing experiences of the order. A freighter captain and an isolated commando, an intelligence agent and a mercenary with unexpected ties. Nothing in their lives is guaranteed... but between them, they just might change the galaxy.
