Summary
The last thing Bob remembered was making a glass explode with the sheer will of his mind and then everything became a total blank. Next thing he knew, he had been practically adopted by The New Avengers and was living in the Watchtower with his newfound friends. Life began to get good and his relationship with each member improved to the point where he could confidently call every single one of them a friend.
And then one day, out of the blue, a memory trickled in, one of John F. Walker bashing his dad in the face with a shield and knocking him out. The memory shouldn't have made Bob blush or fixate on how hot Walker looked in the moment, but it did and he had to do something to let the man know just how thankful he was.
So of course he kissed him.
"Um... uhhh... wh-what?"
Bob smiled brightly, feeling way too good now to even care about being embarrassed or flustered. "That was for knocking the shit out of my dad back in the void. I just remembered it."
"Oh."Or, Bob thanks John with a kiss and it just keeps happening.

From the moment your soulmate comes into the world, your hearts beat in sync. You would never know the difference between your heartbeat and theirs unless an irregularity occurred in one.
When Astarion learns of this, he can’t contain his giddiness at the fact that there is someone out there perfect for him and in turn, he is someone else’s perfect. When he reaches of age – at least by human standards – he is finally taken to a Soul Matcher—someone magically gifted to trace the connection between souls.
“I don’t detect another soul.”
Astarion’s heart drops but he’s told that this happens sometimes. His soulmate may not exist yet. He should check back in another year or so.
Astarion continues to do this for 19 years, his hope dwindling more so each time.
“I feel nothing. Perhaps you should-”
At 37, Astarion leaves before the Soul Matcher can finish his words and empty reassurances. At 37, Astarion dies and so does his belief that there is someone out there for everyone. He believes this for the next 161 years.
And then he wakes up with a heartbeat that cannot be his, for he is undead and his heart stopped beating long ago. -

“No, that’s the thing, Mr. von Hagen!” The creative lead says, pointing to Marius’ shitty doodle. “This is exactly what we need for the project! He’s stupid, he’s simple, and most of all he’s eatable.”
Marius nods pensively.
Then he stops. “Wait, what was that last bit?”
“Let me show this to the rest of my team, please?” The creative lead asks pleadingly. “We can discuss further development of design and also usage rights later, but this idea could really be the breakthrough we need.”
Marius sighs and nods. “Fine, approved. Email me whatever happens.”
Surely, this won’t blow up in his face, right?

Marius doodles a chibi puppy cartoon character based on Luke which is then accidentally seen by a creative lead in PAX’s art department. One thing leads to another and the character, now a mascot, is now on its way to dethroning the popularity of fuckin’ Hello Kitty.
This would have been all well and good had Marius not based the character off of the person he’s in love with and has yet to confess to.

Eddie shook his head. No one was talking to him, and Eddie most certainly was not talking back.

This was who Riku was: His smile could steal you away in the dead of night, then return you unharmed in the early dawn. He was all fair skin, and sparkling eyes, and silver tresses. He was like the moon hanging over the ocean, like the cresting sun peeking over the horizon. This was the Riku that Roxas had caught glimpses of. This was the Riku that Roxas wanted to know.
This was who Roxas was: He glowed like midsummer sun pressing into sunset. His eyes were deeper than the ocean and could see right through you, all your possible guises, and down into who you truly are. He had stubbornness nearing the strength of mountains, but still retaining kindness as soft and warm as a summer’s breeze. This was the Roxas that Riku had admired from afar. This was the Roxas that Riku wanted to know.
Together, they were strangely perfect for one another. They just hadn't realized it yet.
