Normally he'd probably sulk a bit after learning this, before being glad he knows now. This factoid, though. This one isn't so easily maneuvered around. He'd better work on his poker face for this one, because the stakes are high in this particular game of cards.

Oh and great now he's hearing his dead father in the flames. This will not hinder his ability to escape safely at all, none whatsoever.

“Okie-dokes.” Kuroba shakes himself, and then turns to wave at the waiting group of suspects and witnesses with a reassuring smile. They stare blankly at him.
“They’re traumatized, Kaito-san.”
“I know. That’s why I’m being nice.”
Shinichi grabs Kuroba’s jacket and starts yanking him toward the group, ignoring his annoyed muttering. In Kuroba’s defense, he’s very good at looking reassuring. It’s just a lot less effective when he’s standing next to the corpse.
