    Her best friend provides temporary solace, but Adora would never love Catra the way Catra wanted.
    That was until she ducked into a music store to avoid the rain. That was before she sat on a drum stool for the first time, and realized she could be something.

    Adora being tired was an understatement. From the constant fighting against the Horde to the incessant squabbles between herself and Glimmer, she was about ready to collapse at any moment.

    Then Glimmer said the worst possible thing to her.

    Collapse was an understatement. Adora was ready to be gone, over, forgotten. Then the person she expected last is the one who caught her.

    Catra just smirked, tossing a black suit jacket into Adora’s arms, “Don’t we have somewhere to be?”

    Adora pulled the jacket on, feeling slightly more at ease with the extra coverage, “Fine, we’ll circle back to this later.”

    “No, we won’t.”

    “Damnit.”

    Adora can't go back to the Horde. She now knows that everything was a lie, and she has too much that she needs to learn about the sword, and herself.

    But standing in the burning village of Thaymore, in the middle of her thinking about how the Horde is evil and that she needs to stop them, her best friend says something to her.

    "It doesn't matter what they do, the two of us look out for each other."

    In the reminder of their old promise, something clicks for Adora.

    She can't stay in the Horde, but can she really leave the most important person to her behind?

    Or perhaps, she doesn't have to go to the Rebellion alone.
