Summary
The worm curse grabbed his ankle as he reentered the building and threw him into the wall, without letting go. Yuuji could feel the blood as it poured down his head. He heard the clatter of the box as it slipped from his hoodie pocket and onto the ground. It broke open and the finger, still wrapped in bandages, tumbled out from its confines. Yuuji was just able to grab it with his fingers before the curse was throwing him into the air and a large mouth split open on the curses body, stretching the entire length of the spirit.
Yuuji screamed as he was swallowed. It was dark, suffocating and the smell was horrible. How could he get out? He was swallowed, the curse was digesting him, what should he do?
The finger in Yuuji’s hand began to pulse and the bandages crumbled into dust. He didn’t know why, but in that moment, instinct took over and Yuuji swallowed the finger.
...
Or... Itadori Yuuji is the same age as Gojo Satoru. And this changes everything, while also changing nothing.

The first overcast day of the year in the Fire Nation is the day that its prince is slaughtered by his father. Across rice paddies, farmers forget their veils inside, and sailors need not squint to read their maps. It is, by most accounts, a peaceful day across the country.
