A squeal of static drowned out a sudden wheeze from Lucifer, Alastor's cheeks flaming at the implication. Heat sparked in his chest and crept up the back of his neck, something behind his ribs twisting as Lucifer stuttered out a denial.
“Ha – me and – and him? Ha, no, I mean – no. We're just... just working together. For Charlie,” Lucifer finished up, his voice going a little weak as gold spread over his pale face. His gaze drifted over to where Charlie was trying on dresses, a tiny imp seamstress tugging and poking at her all the while.
“For Charlie,” Alastor echoed.

This was such a dark and twisted roller-coaster of emotions, and I loved every minute of it.
I thought that this was going to end one of two ways, but I did not see that ending coming. This was never going to have a happy ending and I was all here for the fall-out.
High on my recommendation for dark fics.
