“Aw, come on now, Mr. Mason. That wasn’t what you told me that day.” The voice drawled, low and rasping from the figure in front of him a second before the man turned to face him, a cockeyed grin turning up his lips.
“Mr. Morgan! My God!” Albert couldn’t help the way his arms opened immediately as he stepped forward in greeting, only catching himself at the last moment and shifting to awkwardly offer a hand instead. “I’m so glad you made it. I didn’t expect to see you today.”
The man smiled, the wrinkles at the corners of his eyes fanning out with the motion. “Wouldn’t have missed it.”

Albert's gallery showing turns up an unexpected guest, stirring up feelings that have been hiding just beneath the surface for far too long. Feelings that slowly come to light over the course of a rather unexpected journey that tests their new bond.

Summary

Arthur and Micah arrive at a sleepy Californian town to steal back an inheritance from his brother Amos. What is supposed to be a quick ransom - and ride back to the gang - gets complicated by Arthur's reluctance, Micah's issues and Amos' sense of righteousness.
Feelings start getting involved with desires in their rundown cabin at the edge of town, while Arthur slowly figures out Micah's past.

Summary
While grappling with his recent diagnosis, Arthur seeks out Albert Mason, who has traveled into the West Grizzlies in pursuit of photographing a rare white cougar—only to find him camping out with none other than one of Strauss's debtors, a shady man named Winton Holmes.
To make matters worse, Holmes recognizes Arthur, and threatens to expose his outlaw reputation if Arthur reveals Holmes's plan to kill the cougar for its valuable pelt. Haunted by his past, mourning the loss of his future, and struggling to understand his feelings for the photographer, Arthur must choose between deceiving Albert for his own sake, or coming clean and jeopardizing the limited time they have left together.
