All souls eventually find their light, something that brings out the best in them, makes life more enjoyable, or even makes them feel a brand new emotion.
Two of them find it in another soul that seems childish, whiny, flirtatious, and incredibly kind.
Kirav follows Vash through hell and back without much of a complaint, openly and hopelessly in love, while Wolfwood never seems to be able to settle down and accept his feelings.But they quickly realize that this soul's personality is way more complicated than they excepted.
Not that would lessen their feelings for the man anyway.(This fic is basically 50% "re-written" Trigun with my self-insert thrown into it and 50% original content)

It’s stupid, Charlie thinks. A silly little challenge that’s only reserved for Pim, one he can always win and do at any time. He wonders when he became such a sap, leaning his head over to kiss Pim’s head. He can practically hear Pim smile, a satisfied little giggle showing itself on his arm. It’s sleepy, loving. 'Pacemaker must be working overtime,' he thinks.

Summary
Despite how difficult it is for him to wait, David has accepted the fact that it’ll be a few years before he’s ready to become a father. But when life tosses both a stormy evening and a grumpy little three-year-old with big opinions and a home life that may or may not be questionable his way, David struggles between siding with his possibly selfish thoughts or with the more rational side of things when it comes to doing what’s best for the boy’s well-being and happiness.
Unfortunately for David, his troubled past makes it difficult to figure out exactly what IS best for the boy and he soon discovers that he'll be battling multiple storms throughout the night.
