Allí conoce a las personas que definirán el resto de su vida y se ve obligado a enfrentarse a las partes de sí mismo que creía perdidas.

He glances at the floor levels and notices that they have ten more floors left as he fidgets with his walkman cord before he remembers that Charles said this dude can manipulate metal. Then he remembers his mom’s words, and he twitches as he sees they have five floors left. Now or never. Peter thinks as he takes a breath to get him ready to start the conversation.
“They told me you control metal,” Peter says as he turns his head to the man. He tries not to seem nervous or look interrogative. It’s not like he could really be the guy mom knew, Peter tries to calm his nerves.
“‘They’?” The man asks, sounding confused. Peter looks straight ahead, wondering if he should say that his mom might know him. In the end, Peter decides to go for it, and jerks his head as he licks his lips, trying to sound casual but really feeling anxious to hear what the guy will say.
“You know, my mom once knew a guy who could do that.”
