Bangtan were the Crown's set of six elite Sentinels.
Second only to the Crown, they were the heads of Planet Terra's military, wielding a military with hundreds of thousands of spaceships as they wished.
They were called "Generals" but they were so much more than that- they were astrophysicists, engineers, politicians, doctors, scientists, spies, diplomats. Formed by the bleeding edge of genetic modification, Bangtan were practically unstoppable.
While they were almost super-human, their Guides were most definitively not. Bangtan burned through Guides like cigarettes. No one ever lasted longer than a year, before becoming sickly ill and passing away soon after.
Cadet Jeon Jungkook is the exception.

Or at least it was the strongest love potion in the world, until genius Kim Namjoon had to go and screw it up. Or, well, to be more precise, Namjoon screwed up the recipe and, in a roundabout way, ended up accidentally improving it.
Kim Seokjin can't have that happening. Look, if anyone's going to brew a perfect love potion, it's going to be him, not Kim "how-do-I-turn-on-the-cauldron" Namjoon.
And, yes, it might be a bit risky messing with love potions when Seokjin has a throbbing, painful crush on a certain Ravenclaw. But, Seokjin is damn good at potions, and there's no way he'd ever mess up a recipe that badly.
