Summary
A cluster of memories and tales intertwined. What if there's two heirs to the Slytherin's line? What if the Golden Trio never existed in the first place?
Hermione Granger is a descendand of Salazar Slytherin through Morfin Gaunt's line, and a Black through Marius. She's a half-blood, a Slytherin, and a Parselmouth. Still born to the Grangers, though Hermione's mother is a half-blood witch, who decided to leave the Wizarding World after falling in love with a muggle, joining him in his pursuit of dentistry. Tomione/Volmione with a sprinkle of Pansmione along the way.
This will be probably the most cliche story you've read regarding the tropes.

She’s always thought that the flow of power would be unfairly balanced, in a way that was inevitable. (Men were always wanting it, women were always giving it.)
Taking and giving.
Hermione doesn't like to give without something in return.

Summary
What if Hermione passed away before she received her Hogwarts letter? And what if she was reincarnated as a baby in a completely unfamiliar world?

“This one,” the man said decisively, his tone clipped and authoritative. “Her face shape and eyes fit our criteria.”
The woman’s lips pressed into a thin line as she frowned. “I’d prefer one with my eye color,” she retorted, her voice sharp and tinged with irritation.
The man sighed impatiently, his jaw tightening. “Cecilia, we’ve been at this for hours. I don’t want to keep my son waiting any longer. Today is his fifth birthday, and I promised him we’d find him a new wife by the end of the day. We don’t have time to be picky anymore.”
