Summary
Patterns and echoes of what she knew was supposed to happen - she could see them everywhere. She was what was wrong in the picture, the thing that shifted everything and caused devastating changes, and yet even then the weave of history showed a similar image to what she had expected.
Being reincarnated into the body of an Elf, growing up in Rivendell, it had always sounded like a dream to her. It was both a dream and a nightmare. Love and grief were inseperable for her, even when she was surrounded by people who were supposed to be immortal. The future loomed menacingly ahead, promising war, love, and even more loss.
She didn't want it. She wanted freedom to choose her own fate, and she wanted the freedom to explore Middle-earth.
What would you do with three thousand years? Well, she certainly wasn't going to spend them sitting in Rivendell.- Language:

Summary
Shanks raised his hand. “That came out wrong.”
She tilted her head, gaze dry. “You sure?”
A pause. A shift in the wind.
He smirked, stepping a little closer, voice lower. “You could make it come out right, if you wanted to.”
Her eyes narrowed, amused. Dangerous. “Captain, are you flirting?”
“Captain?” he echoed, a little too pleased. “Now you’re just trying to get me worked up.”
She shrugged, not denying it.
He leaned in, bracing a hand casually on the barrel next to her, close enough that she could smell the faint tang of citrus and sea-salt on him.
“I should warn you,” he said, tone dipping, “I’m very responsive to authority play.”
...
In freedom lies choices and every choice has its consequences.
Falling off a slaver's ship in the middle of the New World was a miscalculation. Walking up to the Red-Hair Pirates' ship to chase it was a bad decision.
Ending under his protection after very clearly refusing to ever ally herself with pirates? Well, that was bad for her ego.

Summary
In Mariejois, power is polished, bloodlines are currency, and every smile is sharpened for war.
You enter the debutante season under a false name and forged pedigree, a revolutionary spy sewn into a silk gown.
Unfortunately, you peak the interest of Saint Garling Figarland, a prominent Celestial Dragon and Commander of the God’s Knights.
Underneath the chandeliered rooms and well-mannered threats, something else sharpens between you.
Something that looks dangerously like recognition.
