Summary
There are many benefits to the end of war. There are no more life-or-death situations, no more scavenging for resources, no uncertainty for what the next cycle will bring. There is peace for the first time in millennia, and a new society that is improving upon every single cycle. Truly, Optimus can ask for nothing more.
By far his favorite reason, one that he is hesitant to admit aloud outside of the walls of his habsuite, is right in front of him.

Summary
Splayed out in the middle of the berth is, predictably, Sunglider. They lay on their abdomen, rotary blades out and lax in their recharging state. A leg is hiked up, showing the curve of their waist and the long lines of their leg. But the aspect that shocks Megatron frozen is that their codpiece is transformed away.
No chance to miss it, as the berth is right in front of the door.
This is his surprise.
Sunglider had broached the subject with him cycles ago, about how he didn’t need to wake them up if he didn’t want to when he was charged up. Megatron had yet to take them up on the offer—after they talked extensively about it—but this is as clear an invitation as a bomb is.

Wade scoffs, shaking his head and elbowing Peter in the side. “Sure,” he says, sarcastic. “That’s why your spidey-sense doesn’t see me.”
Peter’s on the verge of laughing, wanting to join Wade in his amusement, but he freezes. His entire body goes still. He finds himself staring at a roof three buildings over, not even looking at anything. Two blocks away, a car alarm finally shuts off.
“I never told you that,” Peter says, the realization startling him.
