Summary
Dumbledore's plotting has led to an attack in the middle of a kitsune den, leading to one finding its way to the forbidden forest where a forming familiar bond pulls it to 11-year-old Harry Potter. There it begins a journey of keeping Harry safe from Dumbledore's manipulations and informing him of the truth behind Voldemort and his Deatheaters.

“Spirits,” he said, the word half curse, half exhalation. “That’s what I was afraid you were going to say.”

They survived the end of the world. They've had a few (relatively) normal years with no catastrophies. But with Garrus’ dad breathing down his neck about finally settling down, they've only got 48 hours to produce a suitable partner.
Garrus has just the girl in mind. If only she wasn't the one trying to set him up.

Summary
It's hard to bring balance to the Force when the only method you've seen is your black-cloaked psychic cyborg sorcerer dad with a severe breathing problem throwing an old man down the Death Star reactor shaft. As much as Luke would like to see the not-yet-Emperor dead, he doesn't want to be arrested by his unusually attractive(?) war-hero dad and spend the rest of his indeterminate time in the past dropping Ewok beats in a jail cell. Also Leia would probably kill him. But not before breaking him out of jail.
So when the twins wake up on Tatooine decades in the past, they play it safe. They take over a planet, reconnect with their adoptive and real parents without weirding them out (too much), and accidentally cause the Chancellor perpetual near-death experiences.
