Summary
Carmy Berzatto, a once-prominent chef in New York City, abandons his career to take over the family's struggling sandwich shop in his hometown of Chicago after a life-altering call.
Sydney Adamu, a chef and new mother, faces ruin when her life in New York falls apart, forcing her to return to Chicago with nothing but her baby and an empty bank account.
As fate would have it, their paths cross. With Carmy looking for a sous and Sydney in need of a place to stay, what starts out as a simple arrangement turns into an unexpected partnership where both of them fulfill each other in ways they haven't experienced before.

Summary
Sydney should be happy. She married the man of her dreams, lives in a beautiful mansion in the suburbs of Chicago and shops all day. She should be happy except her husband doesn’t talk her these days, she spends too much time with her battery operated friends and she’s oh so lonely and unhappy. She wants a divorce. There is just one problem, you don’t divorce one of the heads of the Italian mafia, unless you want to lose that head. So Sydney came up with a foolproof plan, run away. Except it not so foolproof when her dismissive and estranged husband decides he will burn down the world to get her back. Now they are stuck in a dark and seductive cat and mouse game. Only Sydney’s not sure if she is the mouse or cat.
