So now Mike sat by him and did his best to keep his attention focused on something nearby. This time he was bickering with Holly and El, directing their decor from where he was sat and periodically having baubles thrown at him as they ignored his instructions.
"You're not winning this," Will commented, smiling despite himself at the scrunched up look on Mike's face. It was stupidly endearing.
"You're not." El agreed, throwing another bauble with her mind. Holly threw one manually. When Mike protested, El cited training and then claimed to be 'training Holly also', by keeping her aim consistent.

Christmas decorations are put up, gifts are made and given, and Mike is a little bit more affectionate than Will would expect. A seasonal answer to the question, Mike, what the fuck did you do in those 18 months?
