Summary
The bite was just a nip, a careful insertion of fangs that Halsin was used to. The quick, cold pain was no stranger, and as Astarion was careful, it was nothing significant. Honestly, had received worse bites from Scratch on accident than this. He felt Astarion shiver as his Heart slightly removed his fangs to start lapping at the welling blood. It was an odd thing, feeling one’s blood leave their body, but to Halsin, it brought him comfort in moments like this.
By the stars, how Halsin enjoyed this. This exchanged warmth, and not just in the physical sense. In this room, it was just them, only them.

The last thing he saw before darkness of the portal swallowed him up was Kisuke’s smile. Despite the pale tiredness of his face, his lips were kind, and the smile was almost too bright against the darkness.

From a prompt from a twitter post: (after loving you for an eternity) hopefully we can do this again sometime.
Astarion shakily looked over to Halsin and smiled at him with red teeth. Gods above, this was the one time Halsin hated to see blood in his mouth like that. It was not another’s, it was Astarion’s. Knowing the battle upcoming today, they both hunted last night and filled themselves well—Halsin with meat and Astarion with blood. Both knew their strength would be needed. Halsin remembered how Astarion appeared the previous night and this morning: clean, sharp, and cheeks, ears, and fingertips a healthy hue thanks to his meal. Now, looking at him, his heart ached. Astarion was always pale, but even now, streaked with dark ash and brown dirt, he looked gray. A ghostly pallor with filth streaked on his body. If the man could see himself, Halsin knew he would despise his appearance and complain loudly the whole time until they reached their home.

When it boils down to it, Ichigo will always have Zangetsu and Ossan. He lost them once, and that nearly destroyed him. Destroyed them. Together again, they won't leave. Ichigo may be odd to everyone else's standards, and his Zanpakutou may be abnormal to everyone else, but really, there were only two people in the world whose opinions mattered to the others.

Summary
Canon Universe, but with supernatural elements.
People are aware that there are just some things that are not of this world, Otherworldly, if they had to pick a word. At this point, they're just used to it by now. That is only a few people in the DPD raise an eyebrow when, as they came to find out, their two resident RKs begin to show some of these Other traits. Well, they were weird before, so what's one more thing, huh?
This series focuses on Connor and Nines finding their way through life post-revolution with the added (problem) factor of now being Otherworldly. (Or in other words, follow these two kinda clueless androids with spooky abilities as everyone around them wants them to hurry the hell up and get together. DPD is *this* close to making a betting pool.) Slow-ish burn, but will be endgame RK1700 (Connor/Nines) at least by the of the series.

Summary
Beau took the dome for granted back when they used that shit every night. Totally slipped her mind that it wasn’t just a warm space, but also a protected space until the Traveler himself, an old-ass fey pseudo-god, couldn’t even get through it when Caleb decided not to let him.
It’s happening again too with their mansion. It was all luster and nervous excitement and cat butlers for the first couple weeks, but now it’s just a given. When they’re all tapped out from a long day and Caleb has to inform the Nein that they have to stay at an Inn for the night, there’s a general gentle grumbling because they’re all spoiled as hell.

1. Acid – Nott doesn’t mark her chemicals well, and Caleb drinks a vial of acid thinking it’s a healing potion.
2. Piercing – Caleb’s ears are pierced when he’s taken captive.
3. Fear – After a traumatizing healing session, Caleb develops an aversion to Caduceus’s hands.
4. Necrotic – To save his friends, Caleb must crawl through a passage of bursting necrotic pustules.
5. Charmed – Molly charms Caleb to lighten him up during a night out.
