They never mentioned it, not through most of the third stage. As they faced off against Diego Brando in his dinosaur form and against the horde forced on them by Dr. Ferdinand, neither Gyro nor Johnny brought up what that look could have meant.
Looking back on it, Johnny knew why he hadn't brought it up. He'd been scared, scared of the growing feelings in his chest. Scared of what that meant. Scared that he'd begun to hope for something he couldn't have, scared of the inevitable disappointment.
Which in hindsight felt foolish.

Johnny finds his stupid, charming attitude difficult to argue with.

Is Xingqiu attempting to call him dense in an overly poetic way, or are those not to be taken as analogies with sea creatures, but rather as truths?
“You can learn how to sing back, if you’re willing to.” Xingqiu calls him back from reality and suddenly Chongyun focuses back on him, observing the calm and benevolent expression on his face that seems to fit in so well with the vegetation behind him. “But this is all for tonight. This is my place, follow me.”
Chongyun, a troubled boy who runs away from his family every summer to find solace in his grandparent's port city, gets rescued by a mysterious child on a hot summer day. Unbeknownst to him, his fate took a turn the moment that Xingqiu, his savior, took the decision to rescue him.
A tale of love, acceptance and growth, about finding one's place in the universe. Thalassa, the primordial Goddess of all seas, lulls each soul and loves all of her children.

Chikage pauses. Seriously? It can’t be that complex to read out what appears to be a single sentence left of text remaining.
“In order to leave this room, the two of you must engage in sexual intercourse.”
Silence falls after the final word leaves Chikage’s lips and every single instinct Itaru has is that he’s lying. He kind of wants to laugh, this has to be a set up cause no matter who Chikage really is, this kind of thing doesn’t happen in real life.
