Summary
Squirrel hybrid Kim Hongjoong knows what to expect from humans - exploitation, abuse, inhumanity. At the laboratory where he and other hybrids were unethically experimented on, violence and pain was the order of the day. He will never trust humans again, not even the kind workers at the shelter where he is taken after his rescue from the lab.
Then Hongjoong is adopted by a librarian called Park Seonghwa. Seonghwa is kind, gentle and seemingly perfect. He treats Hongjoong like he is precious, like he matters.
The temptation to trust Seonghwa is strong, but Hongjoong knows that his kind act is only skin deep. Sooner or later, Hongjoong will find a way to make him angry, to make him show his true colours.
If only Hongjoong can find the right boundary to push.Bookmarked by Elskara

Summary
The older man was so majestic in every single way possible yet held so many secrets that made him mysterious. It was what attracted Hongjoong to him originally, and after knowing him for so many years, he had hoped that Seonghwa would've been able to open up to him for a change. That hadn’t happened, except once, and that had been a shit show- but Seonghwa had shown Hongjoong a side to him that was raw and strange yet so beautiful at the same time. Hongjoong knew Seonghwa hated it more than he hated his robotics class- but still, the younger craved to see more of that raw Seonghwa.
Hongjoong didn’t want to jinx it, but he could feel that something in the air was different tonight. He didn’t know if it was because they both were soaring high in the sky or what, but something was very different.
Or: Hongjoong had loved Seonghwa since the beginning of time, and it wasn't until their most recent smoking session that the older man finally reveals some rather personal information that had been tormenting him, and Hongjoong lends him a shoulder to cry on.

Summary
Hongjoong isn't sure how to define his and Seonghwa's relationship.
They're partners, co-pack leaders, best friends.
And maybe Hongjoong wishes it were more, but he won't say anything. Seonghwa is unpresented—a late bloomer—and Hongjoong doesn't want him to feel tied down to anything before he does present.
Everything changes during the pack's annual winter vacation. First, a blizzard snows them in at their remote mountain cabin. Then, Seonghwa unexpectedly presents and enters his first heat. And Hongjoong is forced to confront the feelings he's been pushing down for years.

Summary
“I thought I’d lose you tonight,” Seonghwa breathed against his lips.
Hongjoong opened his eyes, just barely, to find Seonghwa’s lashes damp, his mouth parted, vulnerable and wanting. His thumb traced beneath his eye, slow and tender, “You’ll never lose me,” he said and took Seonghwa's hand in both of his. He pressed a kiss to his knuckles. Then another to the center of his palm, warm and breathless, as if trying to soothe the ache Seonghwa wouldn’t name.“Not as long as I can fight for you,”or;
A pirate captain walks into a coastal tavern. A barkeep looks up and something ancient stirs. Across storms, scars, and strange familiarity, their bond forms fast. But the sea has always taken what they love too deeply.
Love isn’t always enough to outrun fate.

Summary
Seonghwa's voice was almost a whisper, ''I didn’t know you saw me that clearly.''
''I tried not to.Believe me.'' Hongjoong was looking at him now, eyes steady,
''I should’ve protected you better. From them. From me.''
Seonghwa was staring ahead instead of Hongjoong, ''You don’t owe me that.''
''Don’t I?'' Hongjoong asked quietly.
Or;
In the quiet of rehearsal halls, Seonghwa steps into a role written by someone who won’t look him in the eye.
Hongjoong is brilliant, distant, and deeply protective of his work and himself. But as Seonghwa breathes life into his lines, something begins to shift: a tension that feels less like friction and more like gravity.This isn't just a play. And these aren't just characters.
