Summary
Regulus Black’s disappointing quidditch career comes to an even more disappointing end when he sustains an injury in practice, grounding him for good. With a desire to stay close to the action, Regulus takes a job as a junior sports writer at the Daily Prophet. When the senior writer contracts Spattergroit, the Prophet’s sports editor has no choice but to offer Regulus the opportunity of a lifetime: follow the England National Team as it makes its first Quidditch World Cup run in over a century.
James Potter’s time is running out. Since he was a kid, he’s known that he would not only play quidditch, but he’d be on the team that finally got England back to the World Cup. At the age of twenty-five, he feels he’s already near the end of his career, and he only has one last shot to make his dream come true.
Another dream of James’? Getting his best friend’s brother to agree to give him a chance. Fortunately, Regulus is stuck with him, but only as long as James and his team keep winning.
It’s a good thing luck always seems to be on James Potter’s side.

Summary
James Potter loved Lily Evans from the moment he knew what it truly was to love anybody. But, in the end, it didn’t matter that James had declared that he would never love anyone else but Lily. Because he still lost her.
One year on from Halloween 1981, James is struggling to raise Harry alone whilst drowning in an impenetrable dark sea of grief, determined to never love again. Because, in his experience, to love, is to lose.
Luckily, Regulus Black knows quite a lot about loving and losing. And drowning, too, considering the fact that he survived the cave in 1979 and faked his death for two years, popping in to give Sirius the fright of his life on Halloween.
And, consequently, showing up just in time for the events that followed. The shattered remnants of people that the war left behind.
Maybe Regulus will be able to show James that it’s okay to extinguish the first love flame, whilst simultaneously giving him the parenting help he is too ashamed to ask for. And, in return, maybe James will manage to convince Regulus that love isn’t something you earn, something that always has a catch.
Maybe they just needed one another all along, to take that step into the daylight.

It's all so cliche: Boy meets vampire, vampire stalks boy, boy falls in love with vampire, vampire engages in torrid love affair with boy, boy asks to become vampire, vampire performs a lobotomy on boy, boy comes back fifty years later to ruin vampire's life, vampire turns boy into an undead creature of the night and fucks off into the ether.
Okay, maybe it's not cliche, but Daniel does feel like he's living in a bizarro-world rom-com.
Maybe it's not cliche, but Armand knew the second he lied to Louis, the second he erased Daniel's memories, that the bill would come due eventually.
