"It's just my family I guess." Tommy mumbled upset.
"What's wrong with your family?" Mr Awe asked, feeling confused.
"I don't think it's what's wrong with them, I'm beginning to think it's what's wrong with me." Tommy answered, not looking up to meet his teacher's eyes.
"What do you mean by that, Tommy?" The older asked, spinning around in his chair to show Tommy that he had his full attention and would be listened to.
"It's just- like- I show them how well I'm doing in school and they don't even care! Like aren't parents meant to be proud of their children or something? That's what I hear but my dad is never proud of me! It's always 'Wilbur this' or 'Techno that' but it's never about Tommy! Am I not good enough for them or something?" Tommy blurted out before he could stop himself. It was like once he got one word out, the rest just came tumbling after. He had waited his whole life to get this off his chest and he had finally found a willing listener.
OR, Tommy Craft is a neglected child who just wants somebody to listen to him. And he finds a few people who act as a support system while doing something he loves and enjoys doing.

Summary
Phil watched his assistant turn and walk around the corner, in the corner of Phil’s eye he swore he saw a bruise hidden mostly by the gloves Tommy started wearing after accidentally walking into Sam who ended up spilling coffee on Tommy who had seemed more concerned about the shirt then the burns he was getting. Phil didn’t have a clue on what could be going on, all he knew was his assistant was getting hurt and he had no idea how to fix it.
Phil just hoped Tommy will tell him what was wrong soon, he hated seeing his flock members hurt, especially the fledgling.

———Tommy is getting Tommy abused by a green blob and his employers are concerned, not to mention his employers are the three top hero’s in the city who have taken one look at this traumatic train-wreck of a child and went ‘we want that *yoink* pleasure doing business with ya’ and walks off.

Summary
Tommy doesn't really want to be Tommy, if he's honest. It's probably just because being Tommy means getting traumatized, and getting traumatized fucking sucks. He just wishes there was anyone for him to go to.
