Summary
Izuku and Katsuki have been pro heroes for 10 years and have been married for 5. They have two kids, Hinata(3) and Yuu (8), whom they absolutely adore. Izuku is always busy with work and as the number 1 Pro Hero, it's understandable. His loving husband and alpha, Katsuki understands, but his 8-year-old son does not causing frequent fighting between the two. Izuku is always stressed with work, the kids, and people thinking he isn't good enough and Katsuki always knows what to do.
However, one day, Izuku and his son get into a huge argument and Yuu tells Izuku the one thing that will always cause him to break down. Izuku gets called out on a job with the fight still fresh in mind.

I didn't figure this out until way late into the story but each chapter was written like an episode of the original series but if it was set in the 2009 universe. By keeping that in mind, it will make more sense as to why the whump plots seem to wrap up way too quick. Wish we got to see human marriage, but good Vulcan marriage.

Summary

My impressions without summary are as follows: I love how angsty it gets and how much attention Jim and Spock get. It is a little slow paced at times but overall a very good fic
It's going to confuse you about their dynamic, so here is a basic summary if said confusion happens:
- Jim wants to be Spock's T'hy'la but never thought about it as an option and is mad that Spock didn't tell him about it so he could have the chance to consider it.
- when they do get a round of bonding and Jim is mad, he isn't mad because this Bond was forced by Spock, he is mad because the bond didn't have the chance to happen organically and they were forced into it by their captor.
- basically, Jim and Spock's Bond was going to always be stained by the keeper until they consummated it themselves.
- this is why they don't have sex until the later chapters because they want to keep at least part of the bond completely untouched by the keeper. -

Half smut half serious. Was waiting for the part of the war where Voldemort comes out with the "Harry Potter is dead" and have a reaction out of Draco but that never came. Ends with non canon death of a character and Voldemort just disappearing.
