Kaiba, roped into the search for a lost Jounouchi against his will, stumbles upon a blond ten-year-old boy at a shrine dedicated to the child protector Jizo. Despite his reservations, he takes the injured child in. Together, they find understanding and some healing. And maybe more.

The thin line around his belly button spelled out the first words his soulmate would ever speak to him. Too bad Jounouchi’s soulmate sounded rather rude, so he had no intentions of finding him. Really! Who needs a soulmate anyway? It’s not like he wanted a person to love and to be loved by… Fortunately, Kaiba seems to share this sentiment.
