“The Red Hood has been good for Gotham,” Robin continued. “Crime in Park Row decreased by sixty one percent almost as soon as you showed up, and that’s even taking into account all the crime you commit. Drug overdoses have decreased by twenty two percent in adults and seventy nine percent in minors. Homeless minors are ninety two percent less likely to—”
“Kid,” Jason interrupted. “Enough statistics. What the hell is this about?”
Robin slowly lowered the tablet with his powerpoint presentation and looked up at Red Hood.
“You care about Gotham,” Robin summarised. “Gotham needs Batman. Batman is missing and so is Nightwing. We need you to fill in for Batman.”
“You want me to cover Batman’s patrols?” Jason clarified.
“No,” Robin said. “I want you to be Batman.”
Jason bluescreened.
(Or: Batman and Nightwing mysteriously disappear before Red Hood has even started antagonising them, Robin is desperate, Gotham needs Batman, and Red Hood is Batman-Shaped.)

Summary
On a mission with the Outlaws, Arsenal's identity gets leaked.
The connection hasn't been completely made yet, but they're looking for him. Roy takes his kid and moves to the one place he knows he'll disappear; Gotham. For three months, he has to pull out of contact with everyone connected to Arsenal - including the Red Hood and Starfire.
Gotham is, as always, full of criminals. He's actually pretty sure that he landed in the one neighbourhood with the highest concentration of criminals.
It's not all bad, though. One of his neighbours is pretty hot.

Summary
Alfred, Dick, and these two guys he just met—Tim and Damian—were acting strange, and Jason couldn't figure out why. Also, where was Bruce in all this, and why won't they let him see his dad?
Or, Jason gets de-aged back to 15 years old and the family is panicking about Jason finding out that he did in fact die, so they decided not to tell him. Bruce is out of country anyway, so they won't have to think about teenage Jason, aka Jason before he died Jason and Bruce, aka emotionally constipated, self-blaming, was definitely spiraling to the point of no return when Jason died, Bruce meeting.
No one thought it would be a good idea.

Summary
“Why do you have a gun pointed at my head?”
It was surprisingly the second time Tim Drake said that sentence to him, which is a little embarrassing because the fact Tim had a second chance to ask the question means Jason is losing his touch. Alas, Jason was reformed and hadn’t killed anyone in 107 days and all that jazz so he takes his finger off the trigger, but he keeps the gun pointed at Tim.
Jason was still unsure with his position in the “Pack”. He had the tattered remains of bonds in the back of his mind, ready for connection but he was too nervous to bring it up. Bruce barely talked to him, Dick only saw the ghost of a boy that died years ago and Jason didn’t know where he stood with Damian, conflicted between the visions of his pup from The League and the new Robin. It was actually quite sad that Tim was the one Jason felt most comfortable with.
OR
Jason is struggling with finding his place with The Bats and spends a little time learning things about himself and a lot of time being confused.
