There was a certain comfort in rejecting Eito, one he nursed for most of the Rebellion. He still has to fight down the urge to push him away when he remembers who isn’t there with them. But this Eito is so different. He seems so vulnerable. Even if it’s an act, it tugs on his heartstrings. The way Eito hangs on to his every word, he can’t imagine turning him away like this. He’s pathetic and cute, like a neglected puppy, or a baby duckling. Maybe I could take him back with me… Aotsuki really wouldn’t like it, but wouldn’t it be nice for him to see someone that doesn’t look like a monster? Aotsuki would say something like, “How would you feel if I brought home another Takumi, even uglier than the last?”
