In the chaos, an unexpected friendship begins to form between her and Hiyoko.
Such a friendship comes with its own set of problems though. Hiyoko has to grapple with righting the wrongs of her past while contending with the expectations of her family. After all, her future has already been arranged by her grandmother, Mitsuko. As Mikan becomes a source of joy and comfort, Hiyoko will finally have to make a choice. Will she continue to live under her grandmother's thumb or break free and chase the life she truly wants to live. One thing is for certain, she isn't going to accept her fate quietly.

But, that couldn’t really be said anymore about the boy. Because as soon as he was placed in that simulation, he was no longer ‘Average Naegi’. That semester he was in the simulation had changed the boy, not into someone else per say but it still changed him.
