Tommy isn’t used to being hugged, for anyone to ruffle his hair or touch his cheeks. He never allows anyone to. Everyone knows that they can’t touch him. Touch can never mean anything good. It means he has fucked up in some way, it makes his fight or flight reaction set in.
So he doesn’t know why his body decided to throw every moral he knows out of the window and make him break down every single time Wilbur does as much as accidentally brush his hand while passing him in the hallway. It doesn’t make sense. Wilbur isn’t special
But Tommy doesn’t know how long he can survive with the ache in his heart, the ache to be held, and to be loved.

The sharp sudden voice of his foster mother made Ranboo tense up with alarm, and Phil looked up over Ranboo’s shoulder to see her walking towards them with purpose.
