For the prompt: Ashur is a snake-shifter. Contrary to what his Viper persona suggests, his snake form is actually a very small hognose snake. For whatever reason, he gets stuck in snake form and Tarquin needs to hide/take care of/cover for him or anything along those lines. Just as long as snakey shenanigans ensue. Details up to filler.

“So you'd be the Viper then, yeah?” Tarquin asks, one eyebrow raised.
“Ser Templar,” the Viper greets, as calm and pleasant as if they'd bumped into each other at the market. “Good evening.”
Tarquin stares at him for a moment, then makes a pointed glance over his shoulder where it's still fucking pouring. A small river has started gushing in the divets where the walkway's been worn down over time. “Oh, piss off, it's a wretched night and you know it.”
There's a couple of sounds like muffled laughter from the gaggle of kids, and the Viper's eyes crinkle just a little bit in a way that Tarquin is going to assume is a smile.
“I was being polite,” the Viper protests.
“Polite would've been picking any other back alley to corral your little flock and interrupting someone else's way home at the end of a shite day,” Tarquin grouses.
