Summary
Eleanor Jane Ballard had a hard start to life, but she barely remembers the lab now. It was a distant nightmare that only frustrated her every few months with recurring nightmares. Since the night Mr. Ballard, Henry, or One, as she learned, revealed himself to be her father and got them away from the Doctor’s, Papa, Lab life had greatly improved.
She started school, became friends with the party, and finally got to practice her powers without the danger of punishment if she failed to complete a task. Dad, Henry, had gotten a job at RadioShack, moved them into a nice house on Cherry Lane, and had gotten a pet spider named Dee.
Everything was perfect until November 6, 1983.
