Wednesday watches as the auctioneer pulls Sunshine by the chain leash attached to her collar off of the stage. Her dark eyes meet tear-filled blues and she is angry, wanting to take the blonde away from the auction house as soon as possible. Her hands tighten into fists, jaw clenching in rage.
Her mind buzzes with a million thoughts. She's never felt anything like this before, and she doesn't quite understand what it is. But she knows one thing for sure - she can't just leave the girl in the hands of someone who may mistreat her.
"Mother." Wednesday begins, her tone laced with displeasure. "I would like to take Sunshine home. Right now."

I do not plan on making any crazy changes to what is here, but instead this is an oppurtunity for me to fix and reorganize some details that I forgot or failed to include. For STAR-469, doing what she'd been made for was all she ever did. When that lands her into being decommissioned, she resolved to follow it through, for such was what STARs did. Toiling away in a scrap refinery, falling apart piece-by-piece, she worked for the Nation to the bitter end. After the local Protektors discover her, however, she finds her single-minded purpose may never have been so simple in the first place.
Amidst the roiling tides of the intrigue around her, STAR-469 tries to march forward, to do what she'd been made for; to live the purpose she believed in so much. A journey she found company in, if the smaller KLBR unit wouldn't tear her apart by the end of it all. Perhaps that, too, was a purpose of its own making.

Poetry is the only way Shadowheart knows to process the endless loneliness she has felt ever since her parents passed away. She pours her feels into poems and drops them into the void of the internet via Tumblr. She doesn't do it for the notes and the re-blogs, but they certainly don't hurt, even if she never replies to any of them. When a new person, LZ, begins to interact with her poems and then reaches out to her, Shadowheart takes the risk of replying, but she could never imagine the ways that risk would change her life.

She switched the light on, one hand closing the door after her and the other reaching into her pocket to grab her phone — until she noticed.
There was someone on her balcony.
“Oh my God!” She shrieked, jumping back. Her phone dropped to the floor at the same time her back hit the wall. She immediately got into a fighting stance, her heart beating in her ears. “Who’s there?!” She yelled towards the unrecognizable shadow on her balcony.
She watched closely as the silhouette wobbled from side to side, and Ochaco prepared for combat, only for the figure to then fall back — their back hitting the floor with a loud thud.
Ochaco’s eyebrows furrowed in confusion, and she took slow, wary steps toward the balcony. She slid the curtain open with one swift motion and gasped when her eyes fell on the unconscious, bloody person on her balcony floor, her eyes almost popping out of their sockets.
“HIMIKO TOGA?!”
Or: injured and hopeless, Himiko goes back to the only person she could think to go to. The only person left in the world that she cared about and the only who cared for her.
