Summary
David's train of thought was interrupted by a new figure appearing in the room. Neil glanced hesitantly at the man, fiddling with his fingers, until David opened his arms, inviting him into a hug. He dove in with a smile.
"Hello to you too, kiddo," Wymack smiled, ruffling his hair.
Neil pulled away, nodding sheepishly and heading for his couch. David had expected anything, not Neil gently running his hand through Andrew's hair and then simply lying down on Kevin, who immediately wrapped one arm around his waist to keep him from falling, the other stroking Neil's red hair. Andrew's hand moved from Kevin's hair to Neil's back, further supporting him. Neither of them opened their eyes or said a word. Only actions, only silent trust and understanding.
David could only blink in surprise, watching them. Judging by how Neil's breathing evened out and Kevin's hand froze in his hair, the boys were asleep within a couple of minutes, and only Andrew opened his eyes when Nicky flew into the room.
