Summary
The forest bordering the village has always had rules.
It heals when it wishes. It takes when it must. And it does not love lightly.
Branch is a hunter, mortal and careful, known as the Prince of Hunters not by birthright but by devotion to his people and reverence for the woods he depends on. When he is found bleeding and half-dead beneath ancient trees, everyone assumes the forest simply chose to spare him.
They are wrong.
Poppy is the spirit goddess who guards that forest. Lonely, playful, and far more ancient than she appears, she has been watching the gentle hunter long before fate forces her hand. Saving his life binds him to the woods in ways neither of them fully understands, marking him with antlers, devotion, and a love that was never meant to exist.
Because when a forest god chooses a mortal, love is only the beginning.
Eternity demands proof. And the forest always collects its price.Everything in this fic was created by my friend, shamefulscrapbook. I just put it into words/a narrative. But she literally came up with every character design, every plot point, all the mythical stuff, I just made it into story form. All praise goes to her because this was so fun!

Summary
Poppy loves two things: bright colors and school spirit. Branch loves two things: numbers and being left alone.
When Poppy accidentally texts the wrong staff member about Spirit Week, she expects a quick “sorry, wrong person” and nothing more.
But Branch’s sharp replies keep pulling Poppy back in, and soon they’re texting every day: jokes, late-night rants, stolen pieces of their lives.
They never share names. They never share details. They just share each other.
The only problem? The person behind the screen isn’t a stranger. He’s the quiet math teacher she barely talks to…and she’s the perky art teacher he thinks will never notice him.
It’s easy to be honest when you don’t know who you’re talking to.

Summary

Branch is a little afraid of her, trying to avoid her, but over time he grows fond of her and reciprocates her love.
