Jack and Robby are newly married, and have made the decision to become foster parents. Enter John Shen, a foster child struggling with diabetes, who could really use two brilliant doctors taking care of him...as long as they can put aside their own insecurities to be there for him.
Prequel to Stay Gold--this is Jack and Robby eight years before that. They are less mentally healthy, less emotionally competent, and less experienced being parents. But they're still doing their best.

Summary
He told Mikey he wouldn't touch another pill for as long as he lived, something he's sure the guy has heard from every passing person who's entered inpatient, sat in those hard unforgiving metal chairs. They probably stopped keeping a tally of how many showed back up again with the same solemn promise as if they forgot they already broke it the first time.
Addiction is a constant fight, where the opponent learns how to lose more than they'll ever win. Relapse expected, it's just how it goes.
Frank just has a devastating reason to be so terribly certain he won't.
In the aftermath of a harsh sober reality, Dr. Frank Langdon returns to The Pitt to face whatever mess he left behind while trying not to fray apart at the seams.

Summary
Weight loss was eighty percent nutrition, twenty percent exercise. The exercise part he already had, mapped out in neat pen-and-paper grids because he trusted that more than any app. Running five days a week. Swimming six. With just enough wiggle room to add more if things got “out of hand”. Which, of course, they wouldn’t. Not if he kept control. Not if he stayed on top of it.
When old habits start to resurface, Frank does what he does best. He runs.

Summary
I’ll make a better description for this soon, but for now, it’s stories post season-one (with a mild AU so I can keep this going when season two happens) focusing on Frank Langdon’s chronic pain, and how to manage that with his other issues, as well as him and Robby learning how to co-exist again.
