Summary
The boy standing in the mirror wasn’t Wilbur.
He blinked a few times, and the boy in the mirror did too. He lifted a hand, with the stranger doing the same. When he flipped the reflection off, the bony and bruised hand flipped him off in return.
“This isn’t me,” Wilbur whispered in the stranger’s voice, the reflection mouthing the words in time with him.
This wasn’t him and yet the reflection in the mirror was telling him it was. The boy had curly blonde hair that was styled similarly to Wilbur’s, except the fringe wasn’t nearly as long. Wide set blue eyes stared at him, and after a moment of being frozen, he squeezed them shut, wondering if his reflection would be back to normal when he opened them.
His eyes blinked open, and he saw he was still blonde and blue-eyed. Fuck.
or, Wilbur is bored of the monotony of his life in a small town, and wishes for a new life. Meanwhile, Tommy is tired of the isolation that comes with living in the city, and wonders what it would be like to have a closer family.
Neither one meant they wanted to start swapping bodies.

Summary
Tommy Innit moves in with a strange new foster family. The Watsons are... a little too nice, if you ask him. The other shoe has to drop at some point, and he won't let himself be caught off guard by it. Especially when a secret that he's been trying to hide for his entire life is on the line.
In the meantime, he and his best friends pick up an exhilarating new hobby in (illegally) fighting crime. They quickly find themselves being drawn into the world of heroes, vigilantes, and villains in more ways than they would have liked.

The Watsons aren't the most normal family, even just by appearances, but they try their hardest to do good for the city. Everybody needs a hero now and then, especially the stubborn foster kid that has recently moved into their home. It's a shame they can't even reveal their actual careers to him.

Tommy shakes his head, looking at anywhere else in the room other than Phil. His head flicks around as though he’s already planning an escape as he speaks.
“I can’t tell you who it is but I need you to tutor me, so I can tutor them.” Tommy meets Phil’s eyes for a second before they nervously dart away and stay firmly connected to the whiteboard behind Phil.
Tommy swallows hard. “Please, Mr Watson?”
It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that there is no friend.

Things start to go wrong very quickly, starting, among other things, with a body beneath the belltower.

"The spider bite is still pulsing, and Tommy hopes that whatever venom he’s been injected with doesn’t, say, end his very short life where he stands. Or, well, lays. Eventually, though, the exhaustion wins over, and Tommy’s stomach churns with anxiety. He really hopes Phil’s not going to come in with acetaminophen in the morning to find him dead. That would be a rather shitty experience for the both of them."
