    “Am I meant to?” Cheong Myeong felt like he would have remembered the stranger, by face if not by name.

    “Peak Lord of Qing Jing, Shen Qingqiu.” He finally said. Then, seeing Cheong Myeong’s confused face, he added. “Cang Qiong.”

    “Ah!” That rang a bell. “The twelve peaks sect? Yeah, I heard of that one.”

    Shen Qingqiu looked at him like at a particularly interesting specimen. “It’s relieving to know there are some distant corners of this country where my reputation has yet to be tarnished,” he muttered under his breath. “Very well. Take me to that doctor friend of yours. But if you’re trying to exploit me-”

    “Your teeth, my dick, I remember, don’t worry,” Cheong Myeong waved him off, then turned around. “Follow me! I wasn’t paying attention when walking so we might get lost, but I’m sure we’ll get there eventually!”

    Turgon has had enough of Maeglin pining over Idril, and seeks to give him something better to do with his time. Having Maeglin marry one of the lords of the city will grant him a companion (after all, he seems so horribly lonely!), get his mind off of Idril, and let him take up more responsibility like he wants to. It's the perfect solution.

    Glorfindel is delighted to be marrying the prince he's been hiding his affections for, but Maeglin finds this no kinder than a death sentence: he had thought that being in love with someone unattainable would make him off-limits for anyone to court.

    But Glorfindel is determined to make Maeglin happy, even if Maeglin can't love him, and Maeglin isn't as immune to being treated kindly as he might think he is.

    Bilbo picks up an Elvish dagger in the troll-hoard, and it speaks to him. The elf-ghost inside is mysterious, but he turns out to be decent company, for all that, and he's certainly Bilbo's equal in making petty comments about everyone and everything.

    AKA the fic where Maeglin has been trapped in Sting since his death, and gets really attached (as all elves tend to) to hobbits.
