Summary
Huaisang was fairly certain he had put just one egg into his pan. He had taken out the carton, pulled out one singular egg, and cracked it into his pan before tossing the shell in the general direction of his compost bin (in this house, they remained eco-friendly). There was quite literally no way for there to be two eggs in his pan at that moment, but there they were, swimming back and forth over the surface of his cast iron pan as they sizzled and cooked through.
Huaisang sighed, blinked, and rubbed his eyes, feeling an ache begin to seep into his bones that hadn’t been there when he woke up. He looked back down at the stove.
There was only one egg in the pan.

“Fuck,” Huaisang muttered.-------------
OR; Huaisang gets sick and it sucks, but it sucks slightly less with his boyfriend there to take care of him. -

"Basille woke up at nearly midnight with his phone ringing, which, frankly, was not a great way to be woken up. Especially considering the fact that when he glanced at his phone screen he saw that it was Lucas, whose bedtime was strictly at 10 pm, and who, a quick glance through his call history confirmed, had called him no less than 10 times before he picked up.
“Lucas,” he sighed as he answered, “c’mon, this couldn’t have waited another couple-”
“Do you know where Elliott is?” Lucas cut in, and the worry in his voice made him stop short.
“No? Why would I know, I’ve been asleep. Why? What’s wrong?”
He heard Lucas hiss softly through his teeth before the sounds of what seemed to be a car door slamming reached his ears and an engine started up in the background, “Lucas? Is Elliott okay?”
“I hope so,” Lucas replied, “Fuck, I hope so.”"or
Elliott is being self-destructive, Lucas gets to remind him he's not going anywhere :)

Unfortunate that Barty is not a better man and that all of this, everything he’s just accomplished, is not real. It’s unfortunate that Barty is weird about someone else using his coffee cups and no one needs to drink coffee at four in the morning. It’s disheartening that Barty’s gotten the message loud and clear one too many times, that coffee at four in the morning means the head nod he gets is meant to be taken as I’m going to go fuck your best friend some more.
