It has been almost a year since the Fall, which Hannibal did not survive, and Will has moved to New York, to begin again. After nine months in a psychiatric hospital, he is grieving, broken, and lost, kept afloat only by the hope that he is wrong—he has to be wrong. He struggles through life and work, searching for a reason to keep on living, even though the worst has happened. Before he knows it, he finds himself in a new relationship, with a daughter who outshines the morning sun, surrounded by friends and family who have become his foundation.
And then, one day, the unthinkable and impossible happens, when he is hospitalised after a suicide attempt, and meets a psychiatrist who looks very familiar. Following a traumatising breakup, he and Will begin a life together, but it is cut short suddenly and without warning, leaving Will to pick up the pieces. -

Summary
They say "live every day as though it were your last," but you never know when that will be. At least, Hannibal didn't.
The thing is, you never know what happened--not after you're already gone. He didn't wake up that morning feeling strange or ill. There hadn't been shadows on the walls, or time to remind anyone how much he loved them, or for any sort of goodbye at all.
But what if you could live your last day over and over again? If your whole life flashed before your eyes, would you have no regrets? All that time spent hurting and running away--what might you have done with that time?
Would you be a better person? -

Summary
Will has been living in New York City for a month, on his best behaviour. But, not matter how he tries, something inside of him cannot be sated. He cannot live a life of half-truths and false pretenses. One night, he speaks his mind.
And that's all it takes: one night; one horrible decision.
A seemingly small act of defiance lands Will in the place he fears most: the psych ward, where he is forced to undergo secretive treatment and reprogramming to accept a digital existence. The powers that be call it rehabilitation, but to Will, it is torture.
Will is fighting for his mind, his soul, and his life, and if he's lucky, he might even win.

Summary
"One Day" takes the reader to the year 2050, where every aspect of life has become digitalised. People hardly go out anymore, and confine themselves to their homes, living through their computers, socialising only in online communities. Will Graham has come to terms with his solitary life--until he meets a dashing boy who sweeps him off his feet. Hannibal enjoys being with people. He enjoys the closeness of face-to-face interaction. He tells Will that people aren't meant to be alone.
And, suddenly, Will feels something awaken inside of him--a thought that perhaps this isn't the way to live. But he will have to rebel against everything he knows if he wants to change the path his life is following.
In a not-so-brave new world, two young people struggle to forge their own futures.
Ask yourself: do you really know what's best, or are you about to lose control?
