In the fraction of a second their eyes meet, a whole conversation is had– greetings and teasing remarks, promises that are yet to be fulfilled; her powers are still a little out of sorts, in more recent years that hasn’t been a reason to stop them. They’ve found ways to work around it, giving her hope that this time… they might actually make it work. Permanently.
