Catra gently puts her hands on Adora’s shoulders, looking up at her with naked fear. "Can we let you anywhere near Light Hope or Prime knowing they can potentially infect your sword?" She voices her concern.
"What other options do we have Catra?"
"You could sit it out when the time comes." The thought hasn't crossed Adora's mind. She sits back stunned for a moment.
"How could I sit it out? Light Hope is my problem." Adora’s baffled by the suggestion.
Catra shakes her head. "No. She’s the Alliance's problem and she will be a bigger problem if she can control you." She says forcefully. “C’mon everyone in that room was thinking it, Adora.”
She shakes her head taking a step back. "We don't even know that—"
"That's the point, Adora! We don't know!" Catra yells, chest heaving. She takes a deep breath, evening out her tone. "Look I get it. If this was Shadow, I would lose my shit at the thought of not being involved but is it worth the risk?"
This is nonsense. Of course, it was worth the risk.
OR
The battle against Light Hope is not easy. It might cost Adora everything. Second Arc in the MM Universe/Superhero AU.

"Shadow Weaver." She spits out, eyes blazing. She struggles against the restraints, her muscles bulging, but it's no use. "Just wait until the Alliance hears about this."
"Oh but, Adora. You've defected willingly." Shadow Weaver croons. It makes both Catra and Adora look at the sorceress intently. "In fact, you haven't defected at all—you've always been part of the Horde."
Adora furrows her brow. "What are you talking about? I've always lived in Bright Moon." Her voice is shaking now, her eyes darting between the sorceress and Catra.
Shadow Weaver lets out a low laugh. "Correct. But when I'm done with you, that won't even be a distant memory. All you'll remember is being my good little foot soldier and wanting to serve Hordak."
"I will never willingly serve the Horde."
Weaver's laugh is cold and deep like it comes from somewhere other than her chest. "Oh, you will. Once I take away every memory you have of ever being in the Alliance."

She smiles as she nuzzles into the pillow, stretching under Adora’s careful touch. "I didn't say." She murmurs back.
"Mind sharing with the class now?" She prompts. She got so swept up in their chemistry and the absolutely devastating way this woman had about the sheets, that she forgot to ask. For a while when she laid claim to Adora’s thighs, she barely remembered her own name.
"Catra." She sighs as Adora lingers between her shoulder blades. Adora freezes her lips inches from Catra’s skin, still feeling the heat there. She pulls back, feeling the blood rushing from her face.
She's so screwed.
Fuck fuck fuck. She'd just fucked Glimmer's ex. Fuck.

"How was the meeting?"
"It was good." Adora smiles as she thinks of how spot-on everything landed. She presses her lips together as another thought surfaces. "Would have been perfect really if I hadn't run into fucking Catra. She tried to play mind games before I went in for my pitch. Who does that?" She looks up, expecting to be vindicated by Glimmer but she just looks bored.
"I don't get your weird obsession with her." She dismisses with a roll of her eyes.
Adora gapes at her friend. "I'm not obsessed with her! We've just never gotten along. Ever since we met in college, we just disliked each other." She protests vehemently.
Catra's just so infuriating. She always thought she was better than Adora and just decided she hated Adora for no good reason! She tried on multiple occasions to be nice to her, but it only blew up in her face. Adora knows better now.
