Summary
The party had been raging for hours. Eijirou really couldn’t remember how long they had been there or how many drinks he’d had. All he knew was that everything was blurred around the edges and Katsuki looked beautiful silhouetted by the multicolor LEDs lining the edge of the basement ceiling.
The pair were standing against the wall, drinks in hand, shoulders brushing, observing the crowd of partygoers. Neither spoke until the song changed to something upbeat and familiar. Eijirou downed the rest of his cup, ignoring the acrid taste as it burned down his throat, and took a step towards the room. He turned and extended his hand to Katsuki with a grin.
“Dance with me.” It wasn’t a request.
Katsuki blinked and a small smile tugged at the corner of his lips. “You know damn well I don’t dance at these things.”
Eijirou rolled his eyes and grabbed Katsuki’s hand in his, relishing in the warmth of the contact. “Dance with me…please?” He took a step back and tugged Katsuki toward him.- OR -
Katsuki might actually kill Eijirou, but no one is complaining.

“What’d’ya say, puppy?” The name in his direction felt dirty. Almost viral. Like just the tone would make Eijirou sick with it. Like having Bakugou in front of him, liquor warmed and ghosted in the haze of cigarette smoke, wasn’t already enough to solve this desire. “Take the offer now before you lose it.”
He felt suddenly sexless in comparison to this man. Contained to something private and distant. He’s in this… perpetual state of wanting to be a part of something like this. To be held. To be possessed. He’d been told his whole life that he could not belong as he was. He had decentered his identity to be made tolerable, palatable, invisible.
But now?
Eijirou wanted to be seen.
“Yes, sir.”
Or; The Village in ‘77 is hot in every sense of the word and Eijirou wants it all. Except, he isn’t sure he’s ready for it yet. You want someone to strip it out of your hands before it kills you. I see it every damn day.”
“You think I want to hand it over?”
“You already do,” Bakugo said. “Not to them. Not to anyone else. Just here. Just 𝙢𝙚.”
Kirishima felt a laugh rising in his mouth, and he had to swallow it down, “You’ve got some nerve.”
“And you’ve got none left,” the blond shot back. “You’re hanging by a thread, and it’s not because of the crash. It’s because you’re trying to be what everyone expects. Boss, leader, the one who doesn’t break. I don’t buy it. I know better.” He closed the distance, so near that the space between them all but disappeared, and then he said, “𝙊𝙣 𝙮𝙤𝙪𝙧 𝙠𝙣𝙚𝙚𝙨.”
