Bob takes a few strides back, giving a little wave and mocking, playful, half-assed salute, before he darts out onto the floor.
It helps with his mania. The motion, the speed, getting the energy out. It helps him feel like he’s powerful, without those overwhelming feelings of needing to do everything all at once. It even helps with his anger. Speeding around and feeling his hair whipping around behind him, the lights blurring into a cacophony of bright colors.
John gives a little salute back, then leans back to watch Bob skate. He raises his brows as he watches Bob move with expert grace and speed. He honestly hadn't expected Bob to be this coordinated, he's a little clumsy most of the time.
He smiles a little when Bob whips past him, seeing the stress melt away. He gets it now. He understands why Bob comes here. He needs it.

AKA: John discovers that Bob enjoys roller skating, and decides to go along with him, bonding over the way it impacts both of their lives.
