Summary
Not all crime is created equal. There is crime for the wealthy, and crime for the poor. Their impacts are not the same, nor are their consequences, but all crime has one thing in common- it's all controlled by Macavity.
The Rum Tum Tugger's life is also controlled by Macavity. As long as he can remember he has either brushed elbows with criminals, or been one. Not that it's gotten him anywhere. At twenty one, he is faced with a choice- the opportunity to live in security and safety in the criminal underground, or to move outside it for the first time. With the clock ticking, he definitely doesn't have time for any distractions.
But nothing can ever be easy.

Optimization is V1’s specialty. From projectile punching to explosion-propelled feats of acceleration, V1 was made to make itself better: faster. To achieve maximum performance, it opts to optimize its energy usage. A more efficient source of biofuel may exist—but V1 needs a means to extract it. A particular peripheral used by Mindflayers seems promising.
V1 intends to test it on Gabriel. There must be something better than blood.
