Summary
Clemensia doesn’t typically remain in her snake form for very long, given how traumatic that initial snake bite and ensuing “hospital” stay had been, but decades of distance had allowed the rainbow scales that had spread across her skin time to fade, as well as give her the time to develop an appreciation for the more advantageous side-effects of that incident.
In fact, she’d found them to be rather useful in her continued survival, especially when Coriolanus’s attempt to poison her had been rendered ineffective. And really, it’s high time she returned the favor. With a higher measure of success, of course.
In which Clemensia is the snake that Lou Lou was brandishing at the Tribute Interviews, and the District Twelve tributes get roped into a murder plot.
