Connor stepped away from the canvas, his stress level raising higher as the paintbrush slipped from his hand. At the same time, the palette became unbalanced and joined the brush on the floor with a loud clatter. When he moved to pick them up, his eyes locked onto the paint that had splattered across the surface.
For a moment, he just stared at the blue paint, the rational side of him beginning to shut down.

It made him… anxious.
